Programs and Workshops

  • Working to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion is tough. Practitioners face fear of change, fear of failure, and fear about their own ability to make an impact.

At Sagely, we support experts working to make an impact by offering them the same training that coaches and therapists have. This is because discrimination is traumatic. When we understand the neuroscience behind it, we can see what’s happening before us with a new lens. We become less activated and we have language to offer others about their experience that helps them engage.

In this 2-hour workshop, Robyn Smith, LCSW, and Lesley Curtis, PhD, share with you:

    • how to spot activation in others, including inherited stories about self worth

    • practices to regulate your nervous system in order to be present with activated people

    • accessible details about the neuroscience of trauma healing so that you can promote connection and inclusion

  • This six-week online program helps participants engage more confidently as an ally in the workplace. It is designed for a variety of professions. Participants tend to be experts, leaders, and high-achievers in stressful environments.

  • Sagely is offering a special group program for professionals in roles that require them to foster inclusion, support others, and inspire trust. We will enhance our capacity to do this without burnout by relying on methods from meditation and psychology, neuroscience, macro-social work, and transformative justice studies.

Our next group starts July 16, 2024. Click here to learn more.

  • In this one day workshop for people in the healing professors, we will join together to experience personal and interpersonal connection. Robyn and Lesley support people in the healing professions because attending to the source of healing radiates out and expands. It helps all of us support transformation and peace in the world.

Participants will discuss a story of conflict, identify patterns of response in ourselves, and experience somatic practices that encourage processing and healed engagement. In-person in Philadelphia.

  • What is trauma-informed practice and why is it relevant to museums and galleries? This workshop is customized to each organization, helping them be sensitive and responsive to audience needs, especially around work that some people may experience as explicit, challenging, or sensitive. This workshop is for museum staff and uses case studies particular to their collections.
